QCE Child Care is located in Mittagong in the Southern Highlands of NSW. In September 2010 we went through our first accreditation process which we passed with the level of 'high quality care'. This is a result of the dedication our staff show in providing a safe environment for children to learn and develop.

Our rooms

QCE Child Care has three rooms:

Joey room (0-2 year olds) - The Joey room caters for 15 children and has 4 full time staff. This room has high chairs for the young children and a separate cot room and beds for rest time.

Wallaby room (2-3 year olds) - The Wallaby room caters for 16 children with 2 full time staff. This room has age appropriate toys, a nappy change area and a bathroom for the children who are toilet training.

Kangaroo room (3-5 year olds) - The Kangaroo room caters for 24 children and has 3 full time staff. This room has a qualified teacher who educates the children in our school readiness plan.

Outdoor facilities

The 0-2 year has its own playground with age specific equipment for the children to enjoy. Most of the yard is shaded for protection from the sun. The oversized back playground is shared with the 2-3years and the 3-5 years rooms. We have two large shade structures to protect the children and guide us to be a sun safe centre.

Features of our outdoor yard include:

A beach themed area which has a large sand pit, fibreglass boat, beach flags and a picket fence
A bush area which has two jungle huts, a dry creek bed and a garden bridge and fire pit natural play
We also have fixed equipment, a soft fall area and a bike track for the further development and entertainment of the children

Other benefits

Our child care centre includes a kitchen where all meals are prepared by our qualified cook. We cater for all allergies, dietary requirements and cultural beliefs within the menu. Children are provided upto 85% of their daily food requirements and our menus are certified by NSW Health. We also have an office where you can talk in private with the staff.
